I, too, was 39 and a mother of a 4 year old daughter! And I, too, found it from doing my self-exam. I tell all the women in my life that knowing your own body is so important. Do not wait for the yearly exams - !!! I got my baseline at 38, and found the lump 23 months later....after 2 subsequent tests. Thank you for spreading the news about how important this is.
