With success comes the responsibility to give back. Our philanthropic programs focus on economically empowering disadvantaged, lower income and underserved people and organizations. Our goal is to help them master their finances and bridge the digital divide – providing widespread access to the benefits of software and online services.
Intuit is recognized as America's most-admired software company and one of the country's best places to work. Our traditional flagship products – Quicken, QuickBooks and TurboTax – stand as testament to our commitment to help people manage and solve the complex tasks of small business and personal finance.
Our philanthropic efforts share that same philosophy, providing the resources to help people solve life’s problems. It starts with our employees, nearly 7,500 of whom volunteered more than 8,000 hours at 115 nonprofit agencies across the country this year through our We Care & Give Back program.
On a larger scale, the Intuit Tax Freedom Project – our largest and longest running philanthropic program – helps lower-income and underserved taxpayers prepare and file their federal and state tax returns online for free. In addition, we assist upcoming entrepreneurs and deserving small business owners through our educational programs, which provide a strong financial foundation and help them keep their basic finances under control.
The Intuit Foundation and our employees contributed nearly $87 million in cash, products and services they year. And this spring we joined forces with California first lady Maria Shriver’s We Connect Campaign to help get real dollars in the hands of Californians who are working to create a better, brighter future.
As a California-based company, Intuit is proud to support the Women’s Conference. Financially empowered women are more secure, and better able to care for their families. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we remain passionate solving people’s important problems through our products and services, and about sharing our expertise, products and people with those who need it most. It’s part the operating values that drive every facet of our work – today and every day of our future.
