She represents a wide range of authors . . . non-fiction and fiction including: Meg Whitman, Jerry Rice, Russell Simmons, Mark Victor Hansen, Newt Gingrich, Lalita Tademy, Honorable James Rogan, Robert Allen, Bishop Carlton Pearson, Reverend Michael Dowd, Tori McClure, Dr. Cheryl Saban and Melissa Rivers, to mention a few. Ms. Manus’ clients also include numerous media companies. She works with them to create new business opportunities, as well as to leverage their existing assets. Ms. Manus has been a television agent at International Creative Management, director of development at Warner Brothers and Universal Studios, vice president of media acquisitions at Trender AG/Credit Suisse, and an associate publisher of two national magazines covering entertainment and technology. Due to her extensive background, she is a much sought after speaker on writing, media analysis, women in business and politics.
Ms. Manus lends her time to professional, artistic, and political endeavors. She serves as a member on the following national and community boards: Trustees for New York University, Dean’s Council for the Tisch School of the Arts, W.I.S.H. List (Women in the Senate and House), College Track, California Museum for Women History and the Arts, Communities in Schools, Northern California Public Broadcasting, Stanford Hospital’s Cancer Center and serves as state Chair of the RWNC. She is also the Chair for the Governor’s California Women’s Conference, which is the largest in the country and State Chair of Meg Whitman’s Women’s Coalition for her 2010 Governor’s campaign. Ms. Manus remains very active in the development efforts of numerous literacy, education, healthcare and environmental programs globally, with a particular focus on the empowerment and protection of women and children.
Ms. Manus is an involved mother and is married to Alan E. Salzman, founding partner of Vantage Point Venture Partners. She is a soccer, water polo mom on the weekends and personally loves to swim and run ... without a ball!
