Myesha Chaney and The Antioch Church of Long Beach Gospel Choir

How They Empower Others

The Antioch Church of Long Beach Choir has captivated congregations worldwide. With over sixty-five members, the choir has a unique blend of backgrounds, age groups, and cultural expressions. Founded in 1961, this lively, vivacious choir has its roots deep in the sound of gospel. Over the last 48 years, Antioch has participated in many concerts, many gospel showcases, and many other secular venues. They have been honored to perform at events such as the Knott’s Berry Farm Gospel Fest, KTLA Morning Show, and the BET Celebration of Gospel. They have performed with Gospel greats such as Edwin Hawkins, Darryl Coley, and Yolanda Adams. The love expressed in their music brings healing and encouragement to their listeners. They are not only productive in the choir stand but are very active in the betterment of the community. Antioch Choir members can be seen volunteering and serving the homeless, lifting a helping hand to the elderly, and using music to uplift the hurting. These angelic voices have truly been blessed to sing.
