Shocking Global Report from Humanitarian Agency GFA World Spotlights 100 Million ‘Missing Women’

0

On Mother’s Day, experts say up to 100 million women and girls mostly
from Africa and Asia who should be alive today ‘simply do not exist’

STONEY CREEK, Ontario — As many as 100 million women and girls are “missing and unaccounted for” – the victims of sex-selective abortions, female infanticide, sexual slavery and other horrific practices, according to a newly-compiled global report by leading faith-based humanitarian agency GFA,(Formerly Gospel for Asia) www.gfa.ca).

The report titled “One Hundred Million Missing Women”  (https://www.gfa.ca/special-report/)– coinciding with this year’s Mother’s Day in Canada – says experts using data available up to the 1980s have determined that between 90-100 million women and girls who should be alive today, mostly in Asia and Africa, “simply do not exist.”

“As we in Canada celebrate Mother’s Day, the devaluation and horrendous treatment and abuse of women and girls is a global crisis,” said Dr. K.P. Yohannan, founder of GFA World. “In the poorest regions of the world, and especially in Asia, women’s lives are threatened from the womb to widowhood – and millions of these precious girls will not survive to become mothers.”

Census studies of “sex ratios” in Asia – the statistical difference between the number of males and females – revealed 106 males to every 100 females. “While this might appear on the surface to be a relatively small difference, it actually tells a terrible story of inequality and neglect leading to the excessive mortality of women,” Dr. K.P. Yohannan said.

Female Deaths in Asia: ‘Wild Imbalance’ Between Ratio of Women to Men

Numerous factors contribute to what experts describe as a “wild imbalance” between the ratio of women to men in developing countries in Asia.  Factors contributing to this and the premature death of women include: selective abortions of unborn girls; mothers dying in abortions that go wrong; female infanticide; parents deliberately under-feeding girls; rampant violence against women; and the booming sex trade that enslaves an estimated 34 million women and girls around the world, including 16 million in India.

“Prostitution is legal in some parts of South Asia so the chances of victimization are drastically increased,” said Dr. K.P. Yohannan. “Many of the poorest families are manipulated into selling their daughters to opportunists who promise a better life for them. But many of these girls – some as young as 10 – are never heard from or seen again. In this century, more women and girls are enslaved in brothels each year than were shipped to slave plantations at the height of the slave trade in the 18th and 19th centuries.”

Meanwhile, many impoverished parents in Asia deliberately starve their daughters in favour of feeding their sons. “In some places, girls will be forced to go hungry while their brothers are well fed,” Dr. K.P. Yohannan said. “Malnourished girls become malnourished women, prone to miscarriages, stillbirths, infant deaths, and multiple pregnancy complications that can result in the mother’s death.” In India, one in every 70 women dies in childbirth – compared with one in every 4,800 women in the U.S. and one in every 46,000 women in Ireland.

Rampant violence against women – including sexual violence – is another major contributor to the global “missing women” crisis, with nearly four out of every 10 murders of women attributed to male intimate partners, the GFA World report says.

Bridge of Hope

More than 600 GFA-supported Bridge of Hope centres across South Asia provide critical support and hope to tens of thousands of girls at risk of abandonment, exploitation in sweatshops, prostitution, sex trafficking, and the threat of vanishing without a trace.

Abandoned by her parents, Daya was taken to a Bridge of Hope centre near her grandmother’s home on the edge of a slum. The little girl was so dirty that other parents complained, and the centre’s staff scrubbed her with soap from head to toe, replacing her ragged dress with clean clothes. Over the course of several years in the Bridge of Hope centre, Daya received a quality education, a meal every day and regular medical check-ups – growing into a healthy young woman with a bright future. But millions of girls are not as fortunate as Daya. According to UNESCO, 17 million girls around the world will never go to school – leaving them highly vulnerable to exploitation and premature death.

In 2018 alone, GFA-supported projects also provided vocational training for over 11,000 at-risk women, and sewing machines for more than 8,700 women to obtain work as seamstresses.

“This Mother’s Day, let’s pray for women and girls who are fighting to stay alive in a world that is often brutal to them,” Dr. K.P. Yohannan said. “More than ever, we need to take a stand for mothers, women and girls at risk of ‘going missing’ in a storm of violence, exploitation and horrific abuse.”

All you need to know about anabolic Steroid Drugs

0

Getting into shape requires an individual to put in a lot of hard work. You need to eat well and spend several hours in the gym to chisel your body. However, anabolic steroids provide a shortcut to those who desire to attain their goals at a faster pace. These boost endurance, performance and also help in increasing muscle mass.

Anabolic steroids are synthesized chemically. These are derivatives of testosterone which is a male hormone. This hormone is solely responsible for the development of secondary characteristics in males such as voice deepening and facial hair. It also results in muscle gains in the body.

Length of a Steroid cycle

Anabolic steroids help in improving athletic performance in an individual. However, these drugs can be risky and hence they have to be taken carefully. Usually, steroid drugs are taken in cycles. This could be for six to twelve weeks. Taking a break is essential after completing one cycle.

Steroid cycles need to be adjusted based on the amount of muscle mass you want to gain in a specific period. There aren’t any specific guidelines available pertaining to cycle lengths. If you want to use these drugs safely by experiencing minimal negative effects, then you need to adhere to a cycle. For knowing more about it, you can check https://www.momsteam.com/team-of-experts/steven-horwitz-dc/performance-enhancing-drugs/what-are-anabolic-steroids-and-how-do-.

While trying to identify the length of your cycle, you need to take your personal goals into consideration. Most of the cycles last from six to twelve weeks. The off-cycle then follows. If you are following an aggressive strategy, then you need to take them for six to eight weeks and go off-cycle for four weeks.  If your strategy isn’t aggressive, then you can do the same by going on and off.

A safe way is to go on steroids for eight weeks and off-cycle of eight weeks. There is another conservative approach followed. You go off-cycle twice as long as your on-cycle. For instance, if you go on them for six weeks, then you might have to abstain from them for twelve weeks.

Stacking and pyramiding

There are a few bodybuilders who practice stacking. This involves combining different kinds of steroid drugs along with other drugs for maximizing the effectiveness in a particular steroid cycle.

Pyramiding involves increasing the dose to a certain value and then gradually lowering the amount during a steroid cycle. Many users believe that it gives the body adequate time to balance out the high dosage of anabolic steroids.

Gold Medicines

Kinds of anabolic steroids

There are over 32 different kinds of anabolic steroids available in the market. Bodybuilders use them for a plethora of reasons. This includes cutting fat, boosting performance, endurance, strength and mostly for building muscles. Also, some of them boost metabolism in an individual.

Two elementary forms of anabolic steroids are injectable and oral. Beginners usually rely on injectable steroids. Although oral steroids are easily available, these are not easier for the body to process. While injectable steroids skip the digestive system and are easier on the liver, oral ones do not last long in the body. This implies that you need to increase the dosage and frequency while using them. Nonetheless, injectable steroids are given more preference.

You need to rely on quality products while opting for steroid drugs. You can find quality anabolic steroid drugs for sale only on specific platforms. Hence, make sure to double-check the authenticity of platforms before purchasing from them.

It is a massive step to start with an injectable steroid. These are far gentler on your body in comparison to oral steroids. However, the route of administration is pretty complicated.

Oral anabolic steroid drugs vs injectable drugs

Oral anabolic drugs are generally available in either a tablet or liquid form. These are pretty simple to use. All you need to do is take the pill and drink some water over it. However, it is vital to remember that these are tough on your liver. This is because that is where it is metabolized in the body. Those who to avoid painful injections prefer orals despite them not being effective.

Injectable steroids can be injected within the body subcutaneously and intramuscularly. Most of the bodybuilders prefer injecting ones intramuscularly. The users have to rotate injection sites and give a gap of at least one to two weeks before returning to the same site again. This is not a hassle as there are over 34 such sites on the human body.

One thing about using injectable steroids is that if the drug is not injected probably, then there could be side reactions. Also, it is essential to make sure that the injection used is not dirty. Else, you will increase your chances of contracting infections. Never share needles with others and wash your hands before injecting them.

Person Holding Syringe and Vaccine Bottle

Although injectable steroids seem complicated to use, these are effective and not harsh on the liver. You can also run your steroid cycles longer while using these. These are also long-acting. Click here to get in-depth information about anabolic steroids.

In summary

Anabolic steroid drugs are immensely beneficial to individuals who want to increase their performance and build their muscles. There are different options available when it comes to these drugs. One is relying on orals and the other is to go for injectable drugs. Not everybody can bear to inject at different sites on their body. Moreover, the process is complicated. Orals aren’t effective. It is up to you to decide which method you need to opt for.

Stay Fit While on the Road

0

Sure, it can be tough to stick to a workout regimen if your job takes you out of town, but there are plenty of ways to keep to your fitness routine while also breaking up the monotony of your “business” dealings—and releasing that business trip-induced tension.

Here are a few things you may want to pack so you can get your groove on, whether you’re staying at a 5-star hotel (with a 5-star gym) or your joint has a tiny, or worse, no gym:

  • Athletic shoes – Yep, you can’t do much in your dress shoes.
  • Exercise clothing – A comfy shirt and shorts will do the trick. Nothing fancy or bulky (think suitcase-efficient).
  • Jump rope – It takes up virtually no space, and a few minutes of jumping in your room can really get your heart rate up.
  • Resistance tubing – This is another fabulous exercise tool that takes up no space in your suitcase and can do so much. You can work out every muscle in your body with some simple sets that incorporate your travel bands.
  • Music and headphones – If you opt for the hotel gym, your tunes will help you stay on track and motivated through your workout.
  • Exercise video or DVD – Most business travelers carry a laptop, which makes it easy to do some floor routine or yoga DVDs in the hotel room.
  • Weightlifting gloves – These are easy to pack and very helpful if you choose to hit the gym.
  • Swimsuit – If your hotel has a pool, laps are a great workout for your body and mind.
  • Tennis racket – These may take up some space, but if you want to make your workout social, there’s nothing better than a tennis racket (or golf clubs).

(For a different type of travel workout, you might ask the hotel staff about renting a bicycle.)

Once you’re packed and safely at the airport, kill time (since we need to get there so dang early anyway) by getting some exercise, say my app designers team. Wear your walking shoes and store your carry-on bags in a locker (if available). Walk briskly through the terminal while waiting for your flight. Pump your arms to increase your heart rate. Light exercise before a flight will actually help you fly better by oxygenating your blood, relaxing you and helping with jet lag symptoms. During your flight, get up occasionally to stretch and walk.

If you’re traveling by train, walk through the cars every 30 to 60 minutes. Walk outdoors when the train stops to let passengers on and off. If you’re driving, take frequent breaks to get out and stretch. Even a short walk around a rest area can boost your mood and energy level.

No matter where you are going, or for how long, it’s easy to fit in fitness – keeping you healthy, balanced and sharp! And in the event of an accident of some kind, of course it would be important to get an automobile lawyer

What You Should Do When You Lose Your Wallet While Traveling

0

Anyone who is traveling could lose their wallet at any time. In fact, it would be very easy for you to replace most of the things that you had with you. You might need to do everything from replacing your driver’s license to all your credit cards and Social Security Card. You can replace your cash and checks if you have take the right steps. Plus, you can go on with your vacation without much trouble. There are a couple ways to get this done, and you need to be prepared for the worst case scenario.

1. What Did You Lose?

Most people lose everything on their vacation if there is a theft or their wallet just disappears one day. You do not need to replace all the things that you had in your wallet because some of them cannot be replaced right away. It all depends on what you are looking for, what your options are, and what you might prefer to do some of these things in different orders. If you would like to get back to your trip, you need to be sure that you have done all of the following things listed below.

2. Cash

Cash cannot be replaced, but that is why people prefer to carry Traveler’s Cheques. You might want to use the cheques to get cash in the locations that you have gone to, and you can replace these traveler’s cheques when they are lost. This has always been a better option for everyone, and it would be wise for you to have a look at a company that can basically provide you with infinite traveler’s cheques. Choose a company that you can reach really easily on your trip, and you have to remember that you do not even need to carry cash on the plane.

3. Your License

You should always have your passport with you, and that passport should be kept in a very safe place because it can be replaced through the local embassy or consulate. Remember that you could carry your license with you while you are out, but you have hidden your passport or even asked to have it kept in the hotel safe. You could go to the burser on ship if you want them to hold onto your passport, and you can use that passport to prove who you are. If the passport is lost, you should go immediately to the embassy or consulate so that you can get it replaced. The government keeps a record of what your passport says, and they can verify your identity easily.

4. Credit Cards

Credit cards are easy to replace so long as you call the credit card company to let you know that it has been lost or stolen. The card company will cancel your card, and they can overnight you a new card. The card will arrive at your hotel so that you can use it for immediate purchases, or you could go to a local office that will actually issue you the card right there.

5. What About Your Phone?

The phone that you might have lost during your trip could have all the information that you need, and you should find an office that is a part of the company where you get your phone service. These companies can often replace your phone for you, and they will talk to you about how to give you a new phone that you can easily get back into. This is a very big part of the trip because having a phone could give you all the options that you need. The phone might allow you to get all your other affairs in order, and this also allows you to make phone calls when you are trying to get back on your vacation itinerary.

6. Do You Need To Replace Your Social Security Card?

You can replace your card when you get home, and there is a special process that you need to go through to get a new card. You can either apply for a SS card online or go to a local Social Security Administration office. When you are doing this, you will find that you can easily get a new card. However, you need to be sure that you have found a safe place to keep this card.

Most people who are trying to get a new card will find that they do not need to carry that card with them. If you wanted to have that kind of information on your person, you should carry a copy of the card that has been laminated. If the card is lost or stolen, you can simply report that theft to the credit bureau so that you can put a hold on all purchases or transactions that someone might make with your identity.

7. Replacing Checks

You can get regular checks from your bank, and it is often the case that the bank can overnight the checks to your location. This is a very important part of your trip if you were planning to pay people off during the course of the trip. You also need to be sure that you have reported which checks were lost. Keeping a simple record of which checks you brought with you makes it much easier for the bank to keep an eye out for these fraudulent checks.

8. Do Not Panic

No matter what you do, you cannot panic. You should not panic when you lose things like this on a trip because we live in a digital age where you can replace most things in seconds. You should also have a phone number on your person that you can call when you need to start replacing things. You should also have travel insurance that will start replacing all the things that you have lost. Plus, travel insurance can reimburse you for things that you missed.

9. What Is Travel Insurance?

Travel insurance is insurance on your trip and everything that happens during your trip. Remember that you can get a travel insurance policy for any trip that you take. Find a company that will give you insurance that will cover more than just the cost of the trip. In order to do this, you should have a look at what the trip costs, what all the extras will cost, and how much they will ask for these policies. Keep the policy confirmation number on your person, and remember that you can call them at any hour of the day or night. The travel insurance company will start paying out instantly, and they will let you know if they have other options for you.

10. Conclusion

There are a number of people who go on vacation without knowing how they would cope if they were to lose everything on a trip. The vacation that you have taken will continue to go on if you have a number of options that are listed above. You can handle most of your problems in just a couple hours, and you will not need to worry about missing out on the rest of your trip while you are trying to replace your cards, cash, and ID.

Tips on Planning Your Funeral In Advance

0

Introduction: Importance of Planning Your Funeral

When people plan for major life events, they generally overlook funerals because it’s something darker that people don’t like to dwell on. Rather, people want to focus on the happier times like weddings, graduations, retirements, and more. Although those are important, there’s nothing more important than planning your funeral. That’s because it’s a celebration that’s all about you. It’s how you leave the world, and it’s what people remember you by. Here are some reasons to plan and tips for arranging a funeral for yourself.

You Should Have the Final Say

When it comes to a funeral, you deserve to have the final say. Unfortunately, you can’t do that when you’re dead. That’s why it’s important to plan your funeral right now. None of us know when our last day is and that’s why it’s key to be prepared. We plan our life insurance, we write up a will, and we make sure our loved ones are taken care of in our death. What about what you want? Take the time to sit down and write down everything that you want and need at your funeral. When you’re done, give these trusted documents to a loved one that you trust to carry out your final wishes. This ensures that your funeral is a direct reflection of who you were when you were alive. If you don’t do this, you might end up with a funeral that isn’t about you at all.

Choosing the Right Funeral Home

The first decision you need to make is where your funeral will be held. Most people choose a church or a funeral parlor. Although, funerals in different parts of the world can be held anywhere including streets, by the sea, crematoriums, and more. It all comes down to what you personally want. If you’re someone who is religious, then chances are that you’ll want a funeral held in a church. Do you have one that holds a special place in your heart? Perhaps it’s where you were baptized, married, and confirmed. If you want to carry the tradition, choose that one. Do you have a pastor you’ve always loved that you want to say final words? Those are important things to make known. Otherwise, you can choose to have a funeral in a parlor. Perhaps there’s a place you’ve seen that you always thought was beautiful. Even though you’re not alive, you should choose a place that is a direct reflection of you. It should make your guests comfortable and remind them that you’re still with them.

Colors

People generally don’t consider colors when planning a funeral. Most people who attend wear black because that’s a tradition. Most people default to tradition even though they may know that your favorite color was yellow. Before you die, make it known if you want something other than black worn at your funeral. Do you want a rainbow to symbolize life after death? Do you want people to wear yellow because it’s a bright color that reminds them that there is always hope? If red is your favorite color, make it known that you want people to wear that. Once you choose a color, you can also pick flowers and decor that will match. It makes for a well put-together funeral. Your family will also be grateful that you made the decisions for them.

Planning The Service Itself

A funeral service is the last time that people will get together to remember your life. You want to make sure that everything you think is important is talked about. This is why you should plan all of the aspects of your funeral from what readings will be included, what songs will be played, and which loved ones will play an integral part in the mass or ceremony. This ensures that you get what you want, your family members don’t have to argue, and everything goes smoothly. Now is the time to ensure that your favorite song gets played one last time and that someone who is truly special to you can give a reading of remembrance. Asking someone to do a reading at a funeral will show them that you love them and trust them enough to memorialize you.

A Burial That Matches Your Needs

After the funeral is done, you’ll have a burial. It’s also crucial that you arrange this. Make it known what cemetery you want to be buried at. Do you have a special connection to your hometown or do you want to be buried someplace you’ve always wanted to go? Do you have loved ones that you’d like to reside next to in death? Writing these down and telling your family your wishes ensures that they don’t have to guess. They’ll have a lot to do when planning your funeral. It will make it easier on them to have concrete plans of where you want to be buried. It’s an easy decision for you to make and one that’s important. After all, it’s the last decision you will ever make.

The Right Headstone To Be Remembered By

It’s crucial that you have a headstone that is a direct reflection of who you are and the motto you lived by. That’s why you need to decide what you want before you die. The best headstones come in different materials, they have different quotes and different information. If you want a quote, choose one which summarizes your life. It’s what people will read and remember you by. There is also the option to add a photo to your headstone. You don’t want your family choosing a cringe-worthy one. That’s why you need to decide which one you want to forever be remembered as. Sometimes, elderly people choose a photo from their youth where they feel beautiful. It doesn’t matter if you choose a recent or older photo, just choose something you feel confident in.

Conclusion: Making It Easier On Yourself

Planning your funeral makes it easier for everyone. If you do it now, you can ensure that you’ll never have to worry about it again. Once it’s finalized, it’s finalized. You can be at peace knowing that if you ever die, your final wishes will be carried out. Take your time to plan out all the details, even minor ones. Do research on funerals to see what kind of style you’d like, what songs you’d like played, and what venue you want. Nobody knows you better than you. Take the time now to decide so that you don’t have to put the pressure on your family or feel pressured if you ever fall ill.

How to Express Your Artistic Side in Everyday Life

0

Life gets in the way and before you know it, you feel like you’ve lost sight of your personal style. This happens when things get busy or you go down a path that makes you feel unoriginal and out of touch with what once made you creative.

Since taking the time to be creative can make us happier and feel more in touch with ourselves, here are some tips to get yourself back into that artistic state of mind.

Get back into a hobby

Being an adult means more responsibilities like work and social obligations. You might lose touch with hobbies that make you feel like yourself. To fix that, make a calendar to block out time in your day for an artistic hobby you love. If you don’t have one, try some new activities. Sometimes all it takes is a little time to get your creative juices flowing!

For example, you can go out and order some Simple Canvas Prints for beautiful canvases to work on! Having the supplies nearby makes it easier to sit down and focus on creating. You can paint, draw, or make a unique collage out of random items on these canvases. You may not feel the inspiration until that canvas is right in front of you, and that’s OK.

Being artistic doesn’t have to mean creating something physical. You can get physical and get the same benefits through taking dance classes or yoga. This is not only good for you, but it also helps you feel like you are building strength and moving forward in your life.

Try blogging or journaling every day

When getting back into a hobby, it helps to stay consistent, and a blog or journal is a wonderful way to get some words on the page (or screen). You can share your blog with others or keep it as a personal journal.

Whichever you prefer, it still helps you write everyday and reflect internally. Journaling is a practice that allows you to come to terms with what you want in life and who you want to be. It’s also something that can be anything you want it to be. Maybe your “journaling” is just drawing a picture of your day.

There are also some cute journals out there that can reflect your personal style. Plus, they make great items to put on your shelf!

Innovate your style

What better way to feel more artistic than unapologetically wearing what you want? Take some time to go shopping, whether it be thrifting or an ecommerce shop. Whatever your price range, there are some clothes and accessories out there calling your name.

Wearing clothes which you feel express your artistic style is a great way to cement your self-confidence. The way you feel in your outfit can significantly impact your day. If you look great, you will most likely feel great and be more confident. Innovating your style is more than a material decision — it’s an art form.

Take photos when you feel inspired

Many people let life pass them by without capturing those moments. Use your phone as an asset and not a distraction, because it has the ability to capture any moment you want! This is a way to capture images and scenes in everyday life that inspire you, which can then allow you to create something later when you look back on the image.

The idea is to not get tied up in technology, but use it to enhance how you interact with the real world around you. This also helps you learn to draw inspiration from seemingly mundane things. Look at the scenery on the train or the buildings on the walk to work. You’ll be amazed at what’s around you.

How to Build Real Followers on Instagram

0

Instagram is one of the most powerful marketing tools marketers are using today. Here, you can share your products or services to improve brand awareness, engagement, sales and leads. However, not everyone knows how to market their stuff using Instagram. This then will make you focus on buying Instagram followers to let others know you have great products to patronize.

When you use Instagram for personal reasons, you post pictures of your loved ones, friends, food and vacations you have experienced. But if you want to promote your business, according to ingramer, you’ll do the same but this time, you’re emphasizing your brand and making more efforts to improve your marketing strategies. As users of the platform come from all walks of life and different ages, you can easily catch their attention fast and get them interested in your business.

So, if you want to use Instagram to market your brand, here are helpful tips to get you started:

  1. Use hashtags wisely

Use hashtags in your post but don’t overdo it. A hashtag is the # sign followed by a descriptive phrase to describe your image. If a user clicks on the hashtag in a search box, it will show all the images that use it. The user can even subscribe, so he can continue following it. However, Instagram account owners hope that users see their photos, proceed to their profile, follow and engage more on their posts. Influencers are now turning to growth services to grow real followers on the ‘gram. Read more.

But if hashtags used are extremely popular, competitors can show up in the results and will make it harder for people to find your page. So, to ensure your chosen hashtags are useful, choose those relevant to your location and business. Make them more engaging to have users type them easily on Instagram’s search box.

  1. Thank your audience for showing up

There is no need to post lots of photos and hashtags and wait for more likes from your Instagram followers. To gain them, you need your audience to be engaged, so sales will grow over time. If someone leaves a comment or question on your post, take time to respond and thank them for their comment. Why not look at their profile and if you like it, follow them. Businesses usually follow those who make comments hoping they can return a favor. You can also find people interested in your product, make comments in their posts and follow them.

  1. Interact with the right influencer marketing

They are Instagram users who influence your audience with their popularity and social media following. They help you to create a marketing campaign that will draw more users to get interested in your products or services. However, you may need to spend more money to attract an influencer with over a million followers.

But you don’t need to despair. You can always find people whom your target audience admires, likes and follows. Maybe they’re willing to review what you offer, take a snapshot when using it. Of course, comocompraseguidores de Instagram? Just use your imagination on how it will work.

Picking Up the Pieces After a Financial Crisis

0

A financial crisis can happen to anyone. And, when it does, it usually hits hard and causes you to lose just about everything. Your credit goes in the tank, you have an enormous debt to pay off, and you live each day with worry and stress. The good news is there are several ways to pick yourself up and walk your way through to a bright financial future.

Starting Out Level

Chances are pretty good that you have a lot of debt and that you have household payments that are beyond the due date. To start a budget, according to All Commercial Surety, you must get yourself on even ground and make your payments on time.

Since you don’t have the credit score to get a loan through the traditional venue, a bank, you will need to find other ways to come up with the money now. You can go to a family member to borrow some dough, or if you have a 401k retirement plan, you can borrow from yourself up to a certain percent, and then repay yourself with interest. If neither one of these is an option, you can apply for installment loans to build credit and not only acquire the money you need now, but also start restoring your good name.

If you do decide to get a loan, borrowing from an authorized money lender is a safe way to get access to funds quickly and safely.

Budget

The last thing you probably want to do is add up the amount of money you owe, but it’s actually the first step in your road to recovery. To set realistic goals for paying off the debt, you must find out precisely what you owe out and to whom you owe it. Once you get the list completed, you can move onto the next step, making a plan to pay it off.

Paying Down Your Debt

If you have most of your debt in just a few places, it will be much easier to get a handle on it. However, if you have many credit cards, a mortgage and a couple of car loans, the process will take a little more time and effort.

For instance, take your credit card bills and see who’s charging you the most each month in interest. Once you have the information, apply the most money to that one first. Once you pay that card down, then you can move onto the one with the next highest interest rate and so on.

Re-establishing Your Credit

A credit score is one of those things that seems to go down quickly if you make a few late payments, however, it takes forever to improve. Thankfully, you’re on the right path by paying your current debt on time. Timely payments account for a large percentage of your score.

The second most significant factor is your debt-to-income ratio, another area that you are also working to reduce. You can apply for a secure credit card to re-establish your credit. Many companies who provide these do require a deposit of a few hundred and give only access to a small credit line. However, it’s a great way to begin.

Going through a financial setback will take time to recover and restore your credit score to good standing. However, if you start paying your bills on time and work down your existing debt, you will begin to see an improvement.

10 Ways to Give Back This Holiday Season

0

1. VOLUNTEER – Ways to give back. Many times that is something that many of us easily forget. Or is it something you think about, but rarely get around to doing?  Many organizations need special help over the holidays – from soup kitchens and domestic violence hotlines to senior citizen homes & children’s hospitals.  Find out what’s available in your own community. You can do it alone or recruit friends & family to share the experience.

2. DONATE – The holidays are a great time to purge your home & clean out your closets, drawers & kitchen cabinets.  What do you own but never use? Bring these items to a local shelter, Goodwill or Salvation Army, particularly winter clothes & coats.  And if you happen to have a box of old presents that you were planning to re-gift, consider giving them to someone who really needs them.

3. THE GIFT OF GIVING – Instead of buying yet another gift that a friend or family member doesn’t really need, make a donation in his or her name to a favorite charity or cause.

4. SHOP WITH A PURPOSE – Take a moment & give some thought to where & how you shop. Patronize stores and retail websites that sell handmade gifts, support small businesses & women entrepreneurs or donate a portion of their profits to charities.  You’ll be helping other people while supporting businesses that do the right thing. You can also check out The Women’s Conference own online store, Shop With A Purpose.

5. FEED THE HUNGRY – Donate canned goods to your local food banks and pantries. And if you’re organizing or attending office parties or holiday gatherings, anticipate whether you might have leftovers. If so, arrange ahead of time to deliver the excess food to local shelters.

6. MAKE A CHILD SMILE – Buy, collect & deliver toys to local charities or firehouses.  There are collections every holiday season in every city & town.

7. CHANGE A LIFE – Join The Women’s Conference “Team Maria” & make a loan to support a women entrepreneur.

8. CREATE YOUR OWN GIFTS – The most thoughtful & cherished ways to give back can be gifts that you make yourself. Even if you’re not an artist, you can buy a frame & fill it with a montage of family photos or create a scrapbook of mementos.

9. GREEN YOUR HOLIDAY – Reduce, reuse and recycle, and discover new ways to become more environmentally responsible in your gift giving, entertaining, dining, travel, recreation & decorating.

10. REACH BEYOND THE HOLIDAY SEASON – Commit to giving back in the New Year. Make it more than a resolution.  Make it a reality.  WWW.WOMENSCONFERENCE.ORG will be bringing you tips & tools on how to be an architect of change and pass it on throughout 2010.
