Rosario Dawson has garnered praise not only for her numerous leading roles but she has also gained recognition for her work with influential organizations. Dawson is an active V-Day Board Member and attends worldwide events to spread awareness and stop violence against women.

In 2004, Dawson co-founded a non-partisan political organization called Voto Latino. Their outreach has targets youth and helped register 35,000 voters.

Dawson made her film debt in KIDS and has since been seen in SEVEN POUNDS, EAGLE EYE, SIN CITY, RENT & THE 25th HOUR.

Rosario Dawson has garnered praise for her numerous leading roles with today’s hottest film actors and directors, making her one of Hollywood’s most sought after leading ladies. Dawson gained recognition in 2005 when she received a Satellite Award for her performance as ‘Mimi Marquez’ in the film RENT. She was honored again in 2007 at the esteemed ShoWest where she received the award for “Supporting Actress of the Year.” Dawson was recently awarded the “Best Actress in a Motion Picture” Award at the 2009 NAACP Image Awards for her performance in SEVEN POUNDS and the “Half-Life” Award at the 2008 Cine Vegas International Film Festival alongside Don Cheadle, Viggo Mortensen and Sam Rockwell.

Dawson recently wrapped filming the Fox action thriller UNSTOPPABLE alongside Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. The film will be directed by Tony Scott and is set for release November 12, 2010.

Dawson currently resides in Los Angeles.
